Get the data
Every number the game uses for every buildable item, in a spreadsheet you can open, sort and filter yourself. Free to download and free to use in whatever you are building.
Each file says which game build it was read from. A later patch can change any of these numbers, so check the build before you rely on one.
| File | What it is | Game build | Size | SHA-256 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Forts_SourceOfTruth_1-38-2_r22447_build24769223.xlsx | Every buildable item's numbers for the current game build — weapons, devices, materials, projectiles, commanders and what each commander changes. | 1.38.2 r22447 | 168 KB | 49e5f98cbfb77052aa975602cea3fe99f331d97b4b5f40ab07e343295b07168f |
| Forts_SourceOfTruth_AllBuilds_1-37-0-r21352_to_1-38-2-r22447.xlsx | The same tables for every archived game build at once, stacked so one item's value can be followed from patch to patch, plus a tab listing what changed between consecutive builds. | 1.37.0 r21352 - 1.38.2 r22447 | 574 KB | b51382c8b77fe6f3781f006dac478b9e2197770458ea3ec754f24a91ec6ae827 |
| Forts_Data_1-38-2_r22447_build24769223.zip | The same tables as plain CSV, for using the data in your own tools and your own formatting instead of ours. | 1.38.2 r22447 | 61 KB | 3c0c74c1cf70758d98c6f2d4839c57ffe6691efba9721a5c4448e1a608470507 |

Prefer plain CSV for your own tools? The .zip above holds the same tables as ordinary comma-separated files, so you can use the data in your own format instead of ours.
Terms of use: the compilation — how these tables were extracted, named and ordered — is CC BY 4.0. Use it for anything, including commercially; credit forts-tools.com and link back. That licence does not cover the game data itself: Forts belongs to EarthWork Games, and the community work in the credits belongs to its authors.

This automates a pipeline these people built by hand; it does not replace their work. It was built against Endo's dump mod, which is where these numbers first became readable. The stats here are now generated from the game's own data files, with the dump kept as a cross-check.
| Who | Contribution |
|---|---|
| EarthWork Games | Forts and its DLCs (Moonshot, High Seas, Firebird) |
| Endo | 'Dump - Main Tables' mod — pioneering community stat documentation |
| Thonio | BetterLog — community logging tool |
| SamsterBirdies | forts-modding-tools (community modding utilities) |
| 42 / 42scientist | the 'Forts Variables' community spreadsheet this evolves beyond, and the observed projectile shoot-down / destruction tables the 'Shooting Down Shells' tab verifies |
| serpent et al. | mod authors whose work informed this; attribution always honored |
| Gonnetzz / Guuntezza | AsfFeed (github.com/Gonnetzz/AsfFeed) — the ArchiSteamFarm plugin that showed Forts' public lobby list and ranked leaderboards can be read over SteamKit2, and the approach this site's rankings feed follows. Beyond the plugin, his deep general Forts knowledge and the insight from his earlier work uncovering how the game works internally, generously shared, materially helped this project. |
| I am myself | The Forts ranking Discord bot behind this site's entire rankings and leaderboard section — that whole ranked-activity feature rests on his work — together with his broad general Forts knowledge, generously shared. He also donated his bot's complete season-43 dataset — the leaderboard log and per-player opponent records — which recovered the ranked history lost to a power outage and now backfills the entire season on the site. |
