About these tools
Forts Tools is a small, community-run set of utilities for replay files. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by EarthWork Games.
How your files are handled
- Everything happens on the server. Your browser only uploads and downloads.
- The uploaded replay is deleted the moment the tool finishes with it.
- Results are downloadable for a few minutes, then deleted automatically.
- No account, no tracking, no analytics. The only cookie is your language choice, and it never leaves this server.
- Nothing about the contents of your replay — or its filename — is written to a log.
- The Activity tab lists recent operations across everyone using the service (which tool, when, whether it succeeded) so the service's own state is visible to anyone. It never names a file or shows what was in one.
Credit where it is due
These tools stand on a lot of prior community work:
- EarthWork Games — Forts and its DLCs (Moonshot, High Seas, Firebird)
- Endo — 'Dump - Main Tables' mod — pioneering community stat documentation
- Thonio — BetterLog — community logging tool
- SamsterBirdies — forts-modding-tools (community modding utilities)
- 42 / 42scientist — the 'Forts Variables' community spreadsheet this evolves beyond, and the observed projectile shoot-down / destruction tables the 'Shooting Down Shells' tab verifies
- serpent et al. — mod authors whose work informed this; attribution always honored
- Gonnetzz / Guuntezza — AsfFeed (github.com/Gonnetzz/AsfFeed) — the ArchiSteamFarm plugin that showed Forts' public lobby list and ranked leaderboards can be read over SteamKit2, and the approach this site's rankings feed follows. Beyond the plugin, his deep general Forts knowledge and the insight from his earlier work uncovering how the game works internally, generously shared, materially helped this project.
- I am myself — The Forts ranking Discord bot behind this site's entire rankings and leaderboard section — that whole ranked-activity feature rests on his work — together with his broad general Forts knowledge, generously shared. He also donated his bot's complete season-43 dataset — the leaderboard log and per-player opponent records — which recovered the ranked history lost to a power outage and now backfills the entire season on the site.
Using the data
The dataset this project publishes is offered on these terms:
Terms of use: the compilation — how these tables were extracted, named and ordered — is CC BY 4.0. Use it for anything, including commercially; credit forts-tools.com and link back. That licence does not cover the game data itself: Forts belongs to EarthWork Games, and the community work in the credits belongs to its authors.
